Documenting the subtle nuances of the absence of solid waste removal

Oh wait no it's garbage piling up in violation of city health codes
A warm glow keeps the place where a dumpster to collect our trash once resided while the garage floors are dark, adding to the moody feel of the warm humid trash aroma washes over your face. 
Someday this hallowed space will have achieved the rest it must have so craved. Perhaps we should all consider the deeper meaning of the dumpster at the bottom of the trash chute as we gaze upon the mounds of rotting food which we now live among.

Before the trash collection vacation I was only able to take pictures of the orange Tom who would occasionally nap on top of the white jeep in the evenings under the same light. 
Who knows what new critters we have moving into our neighborhood now.

Lots of folks underestimate how capable their iPhone camera can be. I like the Halide app for its lack of over-noise reduction and as you can see its attempts at film grain emulation isn't half bad. 
The flare of the sun here really drives home the natural oven that forms, and as you approach the pile you can almost feel the carbon cycle at work, making the pile warmer than the ambient air.

The hot summer breeze gently nudges an empty not-quite half gallon of ice cream seeming to follow the Greenway trash collector who gracefully lobs bags upon the pile.

As the city welcomed the world to town for the world cup, then the neighborhood welcomed the city to a day filled with arts at the KC Lawn party, Fountain View welcomes visitors with a potent smelling reminder that not all nice things are nice forever and you should set your expectations because it's not going to get better if you keep going up.
