I'm John Benson and I started taking pictures with a bright blue fisher-price camera that I always remember, though never remember receiving for the first time. I made my father nervous by playing with, using, and changing the settings I wasn't supposed to at too young an age.
When my first son was born I picked up a camera at Costco, a used 50mm f/1.8 and in the past seven or so years have taken terabytes of photos, good, bad, surprisingly pretty great.
I approach photography, creative and consulting projects with the same kind of i rigor and professionalism that I became accustomed to working at a large law firm managing advanced applied technologies for over fifteen years.
If you're interested in working together in 2026, please feel free to reach out.
